Why Choose High and Low Fencing?

At high and low fencing, we specialize in building high-quality fences that are tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. Our teams' years of experience means we are able to provide practical and affordable fencing suggestions to fit any landscape and any application. Whether it be a simple dog enclosure, or more complex design that requires working around obstacles, we got you covered.

We don't use cheap or deformed materials to build your fence. Our chain link, aluminum, and vinyl come from the industry's leading manufactures and they are backed by warranties to give you piece of mind. For all of our custom wood projects the wood is hand selected to ensure there are no cracked, bowed, or misshaped lumber that will compromise the look or structural stability of your fence.

Most fence companies refuse to build a custom design of your choosing or make modifications after the contract has been signed, but that is not the case with High and Low Fencing. We offer the greatest flexibility in custom fence designs and on the job site changes.

Our focus is on detail, affordability, and customer satisfaction, not on maximizing profits and overbooking. Instead of dealing with a secretary, sales estimate person, and installer, we make it simple, you just deal with the owners. We will communicate with you every step of the way from preinstall to post install, including being present and involved in the installation process, right alongside our employees.

Pre-Install

Meet Us!

We love to meet with all of our potential customers, so we have the opportunity to view the landscape, provide suggestions, and answer any questions. We know this is a big investment, so it is important to us that you feel comfortable and informed before going forward.

Need Help Getting Started?

Whether you have no idea what type fencing and design you want, or you simply just need help bringing your vision together, we can help! We know exactly what type of fence will work for the goal you are trying to achieve and most importantly we know what won't work. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with multiple options and designs.

Do I Need A Survey & Permit?

Yes, you absolutely need a survey in order to move forward with a fence installation, as well as a permit if the town requires one (most towns do). It is extremely important that we have the survey and know the exact property lines to avoid any issues with the town or neighbors. Any discrepancies can result in costly fines for both you as the customer, and us as the contractor.

Who Handles the Permit Application?

Since most towns need our liability insurance, workmen's comp insurance, and our disability insurance, we handle the permit process for you. The fee is included in your fence quote. We only require two things from our customers: a survey and a signed building permit form which we will provide for you.

Marking Utilities / Accidents

If you have any public utilities that run underground, we will call 811 to mark them. For private utilities, we recommend you reaching out to your suppliers. When it comes to the septic sometimes previous owners know the location or have a drawing, if not we work with you to try to locate any lines coming out of the house. All of our residential fences are dug by hand not auger, so it is rare we hit any utility lines before seeing them. However, in the event that we do, do not worry, we immediately bring it your attention and repair it for free!

What We Require?

We require a water source in order to mix the cement for our gate posts. Since we cement every post, we are often left with excess dirt, so we need a drop spot of your choosing to put the excess soil and rock. We also recommend that you indicate anything delicate or that you want us to watch out for and please keep kids and pets inside during the installation to prevent any accidents.

Day of Fence Installation

Materials and Supplies

The night before installation all of our trucks are run through a meticulous checklist multiple times to ensure all of the supplies and tools are ready to build your fence. This way in the morning we arrive on time and prepared to provide you with a quality fence, with no delays.

Being Present During Installation

Although we strive to go over every detail and provide you with a clear, detailed drawing, we still highly recommend that you be present during your fence installation. Should any problems arise it is much easier for us to explain and find a quick solution if we can talk face to face. It also allows you the opportunity to make adjustments or modifications in real time as you see the fence being built.

Hard Digs & Jackhammering

Most fence companies charge extra for what they call a "hard dig," which usually involves jack hammering. At High and Low Fencing, we have no extra charges and no hidden fees. We don't settle for shallow holes, instead we will jackhammer multiple feet to ensure your fence is set and secure for years to come. The only time we discuss an increase in the price, is if we hit completely solid bed rock due to the fact that it that requires additional material and supplies, not just more labor. We go over this all in detail during the review and signing of your contract.

Daily Clean Up

Every day we leave your property clean. All our tools and supplies are organized and left in a spot of your choosing. We also thoroughly rake up around each post and dispose of the excess dirt and rock.

Post Install

Final Walk Through

After your fence is complete, we do a thorough walk through to make sure there are no missing nails or screws, no cracks, dents, or other damages to the material. We test all gates and posts to ensure everything is solid and working properly.

After our walk through, we take you through the fence and make sure you are 100% satisfied. We go over any maintenance that may be needed and answer any and all questions that you may have. Only after you are completely happy with the finished product, will we then collect final payment and issue you an invoice.

All of our work is backed by our 5 year no hassle labor warranty, so should any issues arise, we quickly return to address them (No proof of installation is needed on your end for this).
