Semi-Privacy Wood Fence Options
Dog Ear Picket Fence
This is our most popular and affordable 6' semi privacy wood fence option available. We classify this fence as semi-privacy because the spaces between the pickets will open slightly overtime due to changes in temperature, and moisture.
We do not offer the poorly put together prefabricated fence panels from Lowe's and Home Depot. These panels have numerous cracked pickets, bowed pickets, large gaps or holes, rotted rails, and many more defects. They also are often put together with the wrong nails and only 1x3 back rails.

- Our team hand selects each and every dog ear picket for your fence project. Making sure to inspect them for deformities of any kind.
- We use galvanized exterior grade nails
- 2x4 back rails instead of 1x3
- Level pickets as we go

Shadowbox Fence
This is a new and upcoming design that we get asked to do a lot and we enjoy building. These fences look good from both sides, so it is often easier to get neighbors to help split the cost. The basics of the shadowbox is alternating boards with enough space for light to shine through, creating a shadow. All horizontal shadowbox fences have a 2x4 run vertically in the middle of each section to prevent the boards from bowing in and out overtime.
The photo on the left shows a 7' tall shadowbox fence using pressure treated posts, 1x8 rough cut hemlock boards, and the optional 1x4 hemlock board run on top of each post to cover the seams.
The photo on the right is a 5' shadowbox fence, built using pressure treated posts, 1x6 pressure treated boards, and no seam boards (Highly recommended).

A beautiful option that goes well with almost any home. If left to grey out, it will add a nice rustic look to older homes, but it can also be stained to match or compliment new houses as well.

Rough Cut Horizontal Board
A great choice for a more natural wood look. The rough-cut boards are strong, but they are not infused with chemicals, so it is recommended to paint or stain this fence. The boards are also not uniform meaning both the width, length, and thickness will vary by up to a 1/4".

Privacy Wood Fence Options
Dog Ear Board on Board (cap rail and trim available)
Our dog ear board on board fencing is excellent 100% privacy option that won't break the bank. Each 1x6 (true .75x5.5) picket on the initial row gets spaced out by 2.5", with a top layer of pickets put in the middle of each gap, creating an overlap on either side of 1.5", so even with temperatures and moisture changes, the fence will remain sealed. We also offer a variation with flat picket tops, as well as a cap and trim board.

White Cedar Tongue and Groove Panels
Sent from our distributor pre-built using premium white cedar. These panels fit in between the post, so they must be stepped as shown or run on level ground. Here the panels are pictured with pressure treated posts, which we recommend, however, we do offer matching white cedar posts as well.
